Never use both at the same time! As for the other supplements, read the packet instructions. You do this by choosing one OR the other. When using one of the food supplements instead of the regular growth food, the main thing to remember is to avoid overfeeding them. It's important to pay attention to the directions listed on the back of each of these packets. Remember, never attempt to feed your Sea-Monkeys anything other than food that was intended for them. and even more so if you have multiple aquariums to keep track of. I suggest an inexpensive pocket calendar so you can jot down the feeding dates. It's also a good idea to have a method for keeping track of their feeding schedule. if you notice a significant amount of green algae in the tank, consider feeding them once every 10 days. If you provide an adequate light source for your aquarium (with indirect daylight or a plant light), you'll benefit from the growth of green algae which provides both oxygen and a supplemental food source. but always continue in your observations. If this is the case, once every 8 days is just fine. This indicates that they are eating properly and have a full gut. Healthy adult Sea-Monkeys will have a dark streak running the length of their bodies. Also observe the bodies of your Sea-Monkeys. If this is the case, stop feeding them until the water clears up. Pay close attention! If your Sea-Monkeys water begins to become cloudy, it's a sure sign that you're over-feeding them. Less than 16 adult Sea-Monkeys, and you may want to back off to once every 8 to 10 days. It really depends greatly on how many of your pets survive to adulthood after the first few weeks of life. and when doing so, always use the small end of the feeding spoon.įeeding your Sea-Monkeys "once" a week usually works quite well. Wait at least "5 days" (and no more than "7 days") before feeding them for the first time. That packet of Instant Live Eggs you just poured in also contained enough food supply to feed your newborns for a number of days. Don't do it! You must resist those motherly (or fatherly) instincts! Your newborn pets are just fine and have plenty of food available when first hatched. "surely it wouldn't hurt if I fed them just a little". they just look so hungry don't they?
